and he speaks!

So most of our posts are more about the pictures than words, but I have no pictures for you today.  This is because we are remodeling our kitchen and our house is a construction zone and my computer is not currently plugged in.  But expect many pictures in the next few weeks including pictures of the remodel.  :)

Here's our E update:
It has been a big couple of months for our boy!  Last month we took away paci for good (he was only using it at night), and it has gone pretty well!  We also moved him into a real big boy bed!  We needed the crib for baby brother, so E now has a full-size bed.  He seems to really like it - or at least he likes jumping around on it.  :)  He is really into Curious George ("muntney"), and had fun going to see Cars 2 at the movies!

This month he has really started talking!  Something clicked that told him to start trying to repeat words so that has been pretty fun.  He had a fair number of words before, but now he's saying sentences and we hear something new everyday.  And he finally started saying 'Pops' and even his own name!

Some of them are really funny/sweet:
"Mommy ow-ee?" -- whenever I have to go to the doctor for a baby checkup
"Dada go hot hot, I go Nana's house" -- hot hot in this instance means fire truck/station
"Nana buy this?"
"Oh no, I make mess"
"Please mommy/ thank you"
"Pops ipad? / Pops icone?" -- icone = iphone

Some are not so enjoyable:
"No go night" -- I don't want to go to sleep/nap.  which is usually followed by...
"No movie, no ipad, no snack, no toys" -- mocking possible punishments for refusing to take a nap :)
"I don't like this" -- referring to the food he has been served, or clothes I pick out, etc.
"No seatbelt" -- any time there's a buckle near him

He also likes to speak whale (like Dory on Finding Nemo), and knows a couple of things Dada taught him in Spanish (rojo, no bueno).

lucky number 7?

Well, it's been 7 years since these two crazy kids got hitched at a church in San Antonio, Texas. 

We know for sure this next year will include the challenge of finishing our home remodeling projects and learning how to parent two little boys.  Pray for us!  :)  Seriously though, we are so thankful.  Here's to many more years ahead.
