Day 31: and for the finale...

... popsicles!

Summer is officially here.  So we made popsicles and they are amazing!  no sugar, and no dairy for my little guy.

Recipe:
1 pineapple, 1 can coconut cream, 2 bananas, 1 tbsp vanilla.  Blend, freeze, and you're done!  And it makes at least 12 popsicles (with the molds I have).  Enjoy! :)

Well, we made it through the 31 days!  It was tough, but good.  Hopefully we will keep posting more than once every six months in the future!

Day 29: strawberry fingers

So every time we eat strawberries these days the boys put them on their fingers like this.  And then they say "take my picture, mommy!" or "look, mommy!".  Then, they may or may not pretend they are velociraptor claws.  :)

Day 27: happy memorial day!

Call it festive or cheesy, but I made my boys wear red and blue for Memorial Day and took their picture.  :)  Candy may or may not have been promised for cooperation.

Day 26: just playing around

We had some 'baby friends' (as E calls them) come over to play.  I'm not sure who was more intrigued by the other.  :)  But, we all had a good time.
sometimes, you just gotta lay on the sidewalk.

"hi, baby"

I think he thought this was like a dandelion. :)

Day 24: bananas

these kids are bananas! one of their new tricks is climbing onto the kitchen table and playing there until they get caught.  good thing they are so cute!

and I just noticed their pajamas kind of match.  :)

Day 20: trains

the boys and I used all of our train tracks (which is a lot thanks to daddy and craigslist) to build a huge track.  it was fun and the best part was they played nicely together for a while!  there were enough tracks and trains to go around.  :)

Day 17: boys night

Friday afternoon I got to head out to the beach with some ladies from church.  The boys were excited to have boys night with daddy.  I think that included pizza, a sno cone, a movie, and camping out in the living room.  Here is them telling me bye.

(Then, Saturday was Nana's day to watch the boys while B went to work.  Thanks, Nana!)

Day 14: cupcakes for Nana

Tonight we went to dinner and Sprinkles for Nana's birthday.  The boys enjoyed their 'cupcapes' just a little bit.

Happy Birthday, Nana! :)

Day 12: my little pirate

So, Sunday little S woke up with a puffy eye.  Poor baby.  It was just an allergic reaction to something (who knows what), and he's all better now.

Day 10: I Love You

The boys took these pictures for me in their mother's day out classes.  They are hilarious.  :)

sad face :(

 happy face :)

Day 9: Sickie

So we had a big weekend planned with an adoption garage sale for our friends and lots of other fun events, and on Thursday at lunch in the middle of a restaurant, this happened:

My almost 2 year old fell asleep on me instead of eating his lunch.  He was out cold - snoring.  This means he is getting sick.  Boo.  Then B and I both got sick and we had to cancel most of our plans.  But the cuddling was sweet.  :)

Day 8: Splash pad

Man, I'm not gonna lie - this picture a day thing is a lot of work!  And it's only been 8 days.  :)

The boys love playing in the water, and today was a good day to go to the splash pad with a friend.

water!

my little man

my big boy.  getting SO big!

Day 7: Pancakes

Every now and then we start our day by filling our kids with chocolate chips and syrup for breakfast. :) (There's a little bit of pancake in there too I'm sure.)  And they love it.
Especially this one with chocolate all over his face.

This one just likes to sit on top of the table.  :)

Day 4: Soccer

E started playing soccer a couple of months ago.  This is our very first attempt at an organized sport.  I wouldn't say that he's loving it, but I think it has been good for him.  We will see if he picks a different sport to play next.

Today there were just too many good ones to pick just one, so you get several. :)

E in action

Isn't this how all soccer stars pose for pictures?

S and Nana were playing with a bubble wand while watching the game, and S was loving it.

 thought these were too cute

too cool for school

Day 2: Photo op fail

This was my attempt at taking a serious picture of my kids too late in the evening.  :)

yes, that is food in his mouth

yes, his pants are on backwards

then little brother wanted to 'cheese' too.

and yes, that is food ALL over his shirt.

just keeping it real. :)

A picture a day

Hello -  it's been a while!  I have a million little excuses and two big blonde-haired ones.  :)  Basically the whole month of January we were all sick with the flu/colds, etc.  And then I just felt too behind and avoided looking at it.  So, to get back into the swing of things I'm stealing an idea from several friends of mine that have done this and taking a picture a day.  I probably won't post every single day, but you get the idea.

And maybe eventually I'll catch up on the last six months. :)

DAY 1

MOODS
 from happy

to devastated in about 2 seconds.  Closer and closer to a 2-year old every day. :)

summer recap

Apparently my camera was on a hiatus this summer too, because I did not take a lot of pictures...   But, here are a few funny ones to see some of what we did this summer.

we went to the zoo with friends!

 gave friends a ride...

raced around the house at Nana Camp

slept with our new giant bear from Uncle L & Aunt C

E took his first swim lessons right down the street from us.

he was always a little over-enthusiastic, but he did pretty well. :)

one day E decided that he wanted to wear his winter coat and watch a movie with ALL of his stuffed animals.

S spent a lot of time sitting in chairs (and just anything he can do by himself).

then discovered he could sit ON the table

also spent a lot of time opening/closing cabinets and drawers and scavenging for snacks.

then E wanted to jump on our bed with all of his tools in his pockets.  :)

E feeding S one of his last bottles.  what a good brother!

and we always love reading books!  and doing anything with daddy.

mostly it is just a lot of silliness around here. :)

1st birthday!

So, we took a blogging hiatus this summer, and forgot to tell you that this little cutey turned one!

isn't he handsome? we had a small party at home to celebrate our crazy little man.

S had fun teasing Pops and playing with his glasses.

Excited about his first cupcake!  Of course big brother E and friends were there to help. :)

hmmm.... interesting...

 I think I like this.

owl cupcakes!

playing balloons with Nana

he got a new chair from Nana and Pops. he loved sitting in it and loved his card that played music.

then took a little bite out of the card. :)

he had fun with all of his gifts!

at that point he was walking a few steps just to get to something he wanted.   (now he's walking all over the place!)

he still loves to be held by his mama.

but talks nonstop about dada and looks around the house for him when he's at work.
(for some reason dada kept hiding from the camera, but we wanted to prove he was there :)

yay for birthdays!
