sweet baby

S is 6 weeks old!  He is such a sweet baby.  He was super easy his first 4 weeks at home (you know, except for the eating every 2-3 hours part...).  He has gotten a little more needy the past couple of weeks - he just likes to be held a lot.  We aren't very productive, but we get a lot of cuddle time.  Thankfully, he is sleeping and staying awake in longer stretches now.  He does pretty well on outings, likes the moby wrap, coos at us a little, and enjoys smiling when daddy makes funny noises at him.  Although we definitely have our fussy moments too.  He is very alert, likes to push up with his legs, and hold his head up like a champ.  He is getting so big already- his 0-3 month clothes are pretty snug.

So, things are a little crazy around here with 2 boys.  Part of it is our own fault - we still have several house projects going on and haven't completely gotten our house back to normal.  Also, we decided that it would be a good time to potty train E since we were going to be home a lot with S anyway.  Let's just say that E is a little strong-willed and has tested our patience several times.  But we think we've seen improvement, so we're not giving up!  When people ask how things are going I just say that potty training my toddler is way more challenging than having a newborn. :) 

E is a little more needy - saying "hold you" a lot, wanting attention, and throwing some fits.  But, overall I think the adjustment has gone well, and he is very loving and gentle with S and you can tell he really loves his brother.  He likes to tell me when the baby is crying and when he is happy, and if we are going somewhere he invites baby brother along.  They are going to get into so much trouble together.
