pumpkins, pumpkins, and more pumpkins

As you can imagine since its our first year to have a reason to take pictures at a pumpkin patch, we took a bazillion of them.  But we'll try to limit ourselves to sharing just a few.

We went with our friends, the Engers, and had a great time and a good bbq sandwich.  The only downside was it was way too hot for the end of October.

U2!!

Of course we have to tell you about the U2/Muse concert which was super rad and deserves its own post.  We only took pics with our iphones and they turned out pretty good for phone pics I think.  We'll start with some fun blurry pics of our excited faces...

Now on to the concert...  we got there a little early and actually got pretty close.

Of course it was crowded, there was definite B.O., some inappropriate moshing, and some kid in front of us may or may not have gotten arrested... but both Muse and U2 were AWE-SOME and we had a great time!  :)

Home tour

A couple of weekends ago we took a fun family outing and went on the Architecture Home Tour.  (A fun trivia fact for those of you that don't know, I was an architecture major for my first semester of college. :)

The houses (or compounds as we like to call them) were incredible!  Unfortunately we didn't start taking pictures until halfway through the day so we didn't get a picture of the house our friend Stephen's firm designed, but we loved it as well.

8 months!

Our little man turned 8 months old a couple of days ago, so we thought we'd let you know what he's up to. We had his baby dedication at church a few weeks ago and he did really well and looked cute in his sweater vest. :)

He is extremely mobile now - crawling from room to room, chasing the dogs, opening drawers and cabinets and pulling things out. He loves standing up, making funny noises with his mouth, wrestling with Dad, of course putting things in his mouth, going outside, and laughing at random things (like when we cough or sneeze).

He is growing so fast! Here's a few pictures from the past few months to prove it...

It's Happening!

so, basically, little E is crawling, pulling up, and getting into EVERYTHING!  There is no sitting still anymore -  It's crazy, but fun.

as you can see E finds it hilarious and is super proud of himself. :)
