We are super excited and gave E a 'little brother' he can play with and take places so he'll get used to the idea. (I stole this idea from my friend Amy - I can't take credit for it.) It's only been one day, but so far he thought it was hilarious and fun. Hopefully he'll feel the same way about the real brother!

the results are in...
and we're having a BOY! It was a little bit expected since that's what B predicted from the beginning, and it seems like the majority of our friends have 2 boys. :)

big brother!
E has something to tell you!
We figured we should make it internet official and tell you our big news! We are about 17 weeks preggo - expecting our second baby mid-July.
What took us so long to post this you might wonder? Well, I've been waiting, and waiting since the 12 week mark for the perfect picture while wearing our big brother shirt. Here are a few of our setbacks...
first, we tried to squeeze behind the TV to help Dada and scaped our head against the wall. (It was originally about twice that size)
Then our first major boo boo with some blood involved... E was taking Zoe for a walk and she ran off really fast, but he held on tight to the leash and landed on his face - mostly his upper lip. (The rest of the stuff that looks like blood is just from him smearing it around.) He was super tough and let me pull the hanging skin off of his lip, and calmed down after he got an m&m (or Christmas as he calls them).
So, other than waiting for those to heal, when he would wear his big brother shirt, I would either forget my camera or he would get something all over himself and the shirt. So, we decided today was the day whether he looked at the camera or not! :)
In a few more weeks we'll let you know what we're having!

New York Day 3!
on day 3 (my actual birthday) we crammed as much in as possible before we went home.
we saw the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center going up on our way to breakfast.
We went to Ess-a-bagel. It was fabulous. (you get the picture - we didn't have any bad food on this trip) :)
Then B took me to see the Radio City Christmas Spectacular.
We couldn't use a flash, but here are a few pictures.
It was awesome!
After the show we tried one more pizza place that B's friend Andy recommended, called Totonno's. And of course it was really good!
We did a little more walking around
and then went for dessert at the Bouchon bakery.
and ate it in the park
us in Central Park
so pretty!
After our walk through the park we said goodbye to our hotel and headed to the airport.
It had been super cold and we had walked many many miles, but it sure was fun! We were also ready to get home and see our little man. Until next time!

New York Day 2!
We started out Day 2 with what else, but doughnuts! But not just any doughnuts, these are the best you've ever experienced. We took the subway to the Doughnut Plant near Brooklyn.
It was a tiny place with oh so yummy breakfast.
B enjoying his glazed cake doughnut
What's this? But of course a pb&j doughnut. :)
mmmm mmmm. seriously - if we had our own plane we would totally fly back just to eat here.
We decided we just have bad luck with subways. Sometimes our card wouldn't work...
Sometimes one of us got locked out... and sometimes we just took the wrong train...
After our accidental trip to Brooklyn, we headed to the financial district and checked out the 9/11 memorial.
Then we walked to Chinatown for lunch
After lunch we headed back toward the Seaport area
and took a little boat ride
Ellis Island

Brooklyn bridge
We tried to get the little Italian man to take our picture outside the restaurant but it was an epic failure. oh well. :)

After dinner we took the right subway back to 5th Ave for a little shopping.
FAO Schwarz was decked out for Christmas
then the 24-hour Apple store
this place was packed! at like 10pm.
Then we enjoyed a walk back to our hotel
and some cannolis from Little Italy :)
phew! just one more day (and a little more food) to go!
